Manholes of water channel at Jalan Bangun Nusa Raya, RW 02, Cengkareng Timur Urban Village, Cengkreng, West Jakarta were demolished. The effort was aimed to smooth the channel normalization.

Imron Syahrin, West Jakarta Head Sub-dept. of Water Management, said the dismantling was done since local citizens permanently closed the channel. As the result, personnel have difficulty to dredge the channel.
“The channel has never been dredged. Now we must dismantle the manholes for dredging project,” he said, Saturday (8/6).

“It is hoped the channel will flow the water maximally especially during rainy season,” he closed.
